"Starved Rock" is not a diet

I am just finishing up what we fondly labeled our "bootcamp". I won't belabor what we did other than to reference the link back to the company blog here. The point of this is to comment on our stay at the "Starved Rock" State Park in Illinois. It was really nice. The hotel was not exactly the Four Seasons, but it was better than I expected. The staff was not exactly at the competence or the attentiveness level of the Dorchester in London, but they were adequate from a competence standpoint and exceptionally nice, which counts for a lot. The food wasn't really all that healthy, but it was quite tasty. The grounds were fabulous. When you live in Chicago, you see flat, flat, flat. This is another world.

I highly recommend it. In fact, there may be another bootcamp there in the future!
